Though we were tempted to rest on our laurels of being THE GREATEST INSTRUMENTAL BAND YOU'VE NEVER HEARD OF we have decided to expand our horizons a little. From now on we shall, among other things, a) sing, and b) dance*.
Though Bombazine Black will continue on in the hearts and minds of the 17 people who bought our last record (and also in a very real way - we will release an EP of film score stuff later this year for example), the bulk of our energy will be spent on our new singing-and-dancing-band The Wonder.
If you live in Paris or are passing through there's a good chance you could see a show. If you have access to the internet, which I dare so you do (you're reading this aren't you?) you will be able to hear some of the new music very soon.
We urge you to wander over to The Wonder website where you can sign up for the mailing list and receive hilarious missives like this on a more regular basis. You can also find us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
With all that said it does seem like a good time to thank everyone that has supported Bombazine Black over the last six years. We've had a lot of fun, played on some great shows, and made two albums we shall be eternally proud of. And the EP that will be out soon.
That's it! Thank you! Good night!
* by dance we mean, you know, awkwardly trying to sashay. And maybe a little of this.
We're very proud to have our music featured in this wonderful documentary about skateboarders in Myanmar. Youth of Yangon is released today on Vimeo and you can buy it for only $1.49, cheap! It also features music by indie superstars Alt-J..
